It had initiated the kidney transplant service since January 2013.

The inflow of patients has alarmingly increased at the hospital with the resumption of additional medical services such as Urology, gastro surgery, Cardio therapy and surgery and stone surgery besides kidney transplant, said Prof Dr Rakesh Barma. However, the patients are compelled to wait for transplant service for long due to limited building space and bed

Right now more than 400 patients are waiting their turns for kidney transplant and more than this number for dialysis, Dr Shrestha said.  RSS
