Education Department Chief Ram Prasad Subedi issued a written directive on Wednesday instructing all schools to complete the assessment of Grade 8 examination by June 8. “As the government has directed the schools to start the new academic session from the third week of June, the department has directed the schools to complete all the examinations including that of Grade 8 by June 8,” said Subedi.

In the instruction given by the department, it is mentioned that the schools should evaluate their students as per the examination method prescribed by the Municipal Examination Committee.

The committee meeting held on Wednesday concluded that the schools will have to consider 40 percent from the first and second term examinations and 40 percent from the records of the students kept in schools.
