KMC sacks seven and suspends five city policemen who behaved indecently during duty hours

KATHMANDU, July 11: Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has taken action against 12 city policemen. KMC Police Chief, SP Raju Nath Pandey said that out of 12 city policemen, seven contractual city policemen have been removed from their jobs and five other permanent city policemen have been suspended.

KATHMANDU, July 11: Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has taken action against 12 city policemen. KMC Police Chief, SP Raju Nath Pandey said that out of 12 city policemen, seven contractual city policemen have been removed from their jobs and five other permanent city policemen have been suspended.


According to him, action was taken against them because the city policemen acted against the instructions during duty hours.

"We have already taken departmental action against 12 city policemen due to their indecent behavior," he said.


Pandey says that to prevent this kind of incident from happening again, the policemen assigned to the area have been called to the central office and given training on conduct.
