KATHMANDU, Nov 2: The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) Office is to organize a civic felicitation in honour of visiting President of India Pranab Mukherjee.
The Office will present a key of the Office and a letter of civic felicitation to the visiting Indian President at local City Hall at around 16:00pm Thursday.
The handover of the key to a distinguished foreign guest is a symbol that he/she is welcome in Kathmandu Metropolis at any time, according to Office Chief Rudra Singh Tamang.
The Office plans to gift a special token highlighting the Kathmandu's historic importance to the President of India.
Bearing in mind the very high-level visit by the Indian President, earlier a special clean-up campaign was launched targeting major places and thoroughfares in the capital. RSS
