The monitoring and evaluation committee headed by Deputy Mayor Sunita Dangol informed the hospital that waste collection could not proceed due to shortcomings in waste segregation and transportation by the hospital.

Deputy Mayor Dangol said that hospitals, which are expected to set exemplary standards, have been found lacking such standards. “It was observed that waste bins were provided within the hospital premises, but each bin contained mixed types of waste, which is an incorrect procedure," she said, adding, "Facilities meant for disease treatment should not contribute to disease production. It is not solely the municipality's responsibility to manage this, hospitals must ensure their certification for maintaining clean and hygienic service standards."
