KMC warns schools against compelling students to buy festival clothes

KATHMANDU, Dec 22: Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has said that it will take action against schools requiring students to purchase distinct clothing under the guise of various festivals.

KATHMANDU, Dec 22: Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has said that it will take action against schools requiring students to purchase distinct clothing under the guise of various festivals.


The metropolis has cautioned that legal measures will be instituted if schools are found compelling students to acquire clothing different from their regular uniform.

In a notice disseminated to all schools on Friday, Education Officer Sitaram Koirala has emphasized that action will be taken if students are coerced into purchasing uniforms that deviate from the standard school attire.


He further stated that schools violating this directive will face legal consequences in accordance with the law.
