Kuwait-returnee tests positive for COVID-19

KATHMANDU, June 15: A woman, who was admitted to the isolation ward of the Kathmandu-based Teku Hospital, has tested positive for COVID-19 on Sunday.

KATHMANDU, June 15: A woman, who was admitted to the isolation ward of the Kathmandu-based Teku Hospital, has tested positive for COVID-19 on Sunday.


The 36-year-old woman had come to Nepal through a repatriation flight from Kuwait on June 11.

“The patient was admitted to the hospital a few hours after arriving in Nepal as she was showing coronavirus symptoms. She was kept in a holding centre after arriving in Nepal,” Dr Anup Baskota of Teku Hospital, told Republica Online.


A total of 102 Nepali citizens had come to Nepal through a repatriation flight on June 11. 


Currently, five COVID-19 patients are admitted at the isolation ward of the hospital.
