KATHMANDU, Jan 27: The 4th Organic Agro Fair is being organized in Lalitpur from January 31.
The fair is being organized jointly by Organic Association Nepal, and Kanchanjangha Tea Estate and Research Center in collaboration with Trade and Export Promotion Center under the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies on Patan Museum premises.

Organizing a press meet in Lalitpur on Sunday, the association said that the fair intends to raise awareness about the benefits of organic products. "It aims to increase export of Nepali organic agro products and also attract international traders to Nepal," Shanta Baskota Koirala, coordinator of the fair, said in the press meet.
The fair aims at bringing producers and consumers under one roof and making organic produces available at reasonable prices. The four-day fair will conclude on February 3.
According to the organizers, the fair will feature more than 50 stalls with organic and natural produces. “Products like tea, coffee, juice, vegetables, pickle, organic fertilizers, mushroom, dairy products, herbal products, spices, rice, wheat, maize, lentil, buckwheat, fruits, seeds, honey, oil, among other agricultural products will be put on display at the fair,” the organizers said in a statement.
The organizers are eyeing Rs 10 million worth of transactions during the fair.
