KATHMANDU, June 25: Lalitpur Metropolitan City (LMC) has unveiled its comprehensive budget for the upcoming financial year, amounting to 6.55 billion rupees.
Deputy Mayor Manjila Shakya presented the budget, highlighting that Rs 4.21 billion has been allocated for capital expenditure. Additionally, Shakya said that Rs 2.49 billion has been set aside in the current budget.

Mayor Chiribabu Maharjan emphasized that the metropolis has placed significant importance on several key areas, including road infrastructure, heritage conservation, the implementation of the "One Ward-One Garden" initiative, the promotion of "One House-One Plant," Smart Street lighting, and the establishment of public toilets in each ward. Furthermore, the metropolis aims to ensure the creation of disabled-friendly footpaths.
