The party has already taken action against MP Shrestha. In this regard, Lamichhane, while posting a status on social media on Sunday night, alleged that the audio episode is being used as an election weapon. Lamichhane is preparing for his election campaign in Chitwan. He has claimed that RSP is not a party that protects the corrupt and that he will save the sack if he finds a rotten potato in it. He has made it clear that he will not tolerate any discrepancy in the party but will punish it by exposing it.

“Everyone knows that even if I am offered the entire money of this planet instead of 20 million rupees, I will not entertain it. Yes, the party is new, it is difficult to get to know people, but even though it is new, the party has rules and there is no need to worry.” He further writes, “It is a party that we made by shedding blood and sweat, we should be able to weather a storm and a tsunami. Now, making it an election weapon, it is being used with full force for further attacks. I am a little tired from campaigning elections for 18 hours a day. I will sleep a little early today. If I find rotten potatoes, I will throw them away and save the entire sack from rotting. More talk tomorrow.”
