KATHMANDU, May 29: Bindabasini Kansakar, who was elected as an Member of Parliament under the Proportional Representation (PR) electoral system of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), is taking oath of office and secrecy today.
MP Kanskar will be administered the oath of office and secrecy by Speaker Devraj Ghimire at 3 pm.
PR member Dhaka Kumar Shrestha was recalled by the party after he courted controversy in connection with the Rs 20 million corruption scam. Kansakar has replaced the position of MP Shrestha.

Dhaka Kumar Shrestha went to court against the decision of the party. On May 8, the Supreme Court issued a short-term interim order to keep the current decisions and actions of the party in the status quo without further implementation.
But on May 24, the apex court dismissed the short-term interim order, paving the way for Kansakar to become a lawmaker.
