KATHMANDU, Sept 8: Parliamentarians on Friday demanded inclusion in the Act related to House of Representatives and Provincial Assembly the backward area while submitting the proportional sealed list.

They came up with the demand at a meeting of the Legislature-Parliament on Friday.
During the special session of the House, parliamentarians, Jeevan Bahadur Shahi, Karna Bahadur Thapa, Prem Bahadur Singh, Janak Bahadur Budha and Mohan Baniya, among others, have asserted that the phrase 'backward region' has been removed from the Act against the Constitutional provision.
The parliamentarians have noted that the particular action of delisting the 'backward sector' has meted out injustice to the people of Karnali region. RSS
