KATHMANDU, March 7: A joint meeting of Maoist leaders is being held today. The meeting is taking place at the Prime Minister's official residence in Baluwatar from 8:30 in the morning.
Chairman of CPN (Maoist Center) Pushpa Kamal Dahal, who is also the Prime Minister, Chairman of CPN (Maoists Revolutionary) Mohan Vaidya (Kiran), Chairman of Nepal Samajwadi Party (NSP) Dr. Baburam Bhattarai, General Secretary of CPN Maoist Netra Bikram Chand (Biplab), CPN (Majority) Leader Dharmendra Bastola and Chairman of CPN-Maoist Samajwadi Party Karnajit Budhathoki are participating in the meeting.

Earlier, the leaders of the Maoist faction participating in an event organized by the Foundation of Children of Martyrs and Disappeared Fighters expressed the view that they should unite and fight against those who are harassing the Maoists.
The leaders of the Maoist faction have been trying to forge party unity as much as possible and if that is not immediately possible, they have decided to take initiatives to forge a working alliance. Prime Minister Dahal's Secretariat said that today's meeting called by Prime Minister Dahal is holding discussion on the same issues.
After the Supreme Court ordered to register a case against Prime Minister Dahal for the conflict-era incident, the discussion between all Maoist factions intensified meetings and discussions.
