Lex Limbu, 25, is a popular Nepali blogger and YouTuber. He opened up as being gay and talked about his family’s response to this in a short film released on YouTube on Sunday.
“I was not scared at all when I finally told my parents that I was gay. I had kept this part of me from them for so long. I knew for sure that this was not just a phase. This is not something that I chose either,” he said.

In the video, he talks to his mother and both breakdown to tears upon the revelation. Being an internet influencer, Limbu has used his platform to talk about homosexuality and inspired others to open up. “I came to realize that to tell my story was not just personal, but also a responsibility,” he added.
