LMC rolls back decision to charge fee for house number plates

KATHMANDU, July 22: Lalitpur Metropolitan City (LMC) has rolled back the decision to charge Rs 1,000 for house number plates from every house.

KATHMANDU, July 22: Lalitpur Metropolitan City (LMC) has rolled back the decision to charge Rs 1,000 for house number plates from every house.


Earlier, the metropolis issued a notice on Thursday stating that it would charge Rs 1,000 for the number plate during the time of collecting property tax. It had been installing number plates for the purpose of collection and identification of houses within its area.

However, issuing another notice on Friday, the metropolis stated that as the decision of charging Rs 1,000 for house number place is currently being reviewed, the decision has been rolled back until further notice.
