Speaking before tabling the bill, Nidhi said there was a need for amending the existing Local Level Election Act to ensure that all parties partake in the second-phase of local election slated for June 28. Second-phase election is due to  be held on June 28 in  provices 1 2 5 and 7.

According to him, the amendment bill he tabled at the parliament is not a big issue, making an indirect reference to the fact that there is no reason to be opposed to it.
