Speaking at an event organized in Kathmandu, Lohani said: “Wide body aircraft procurement scam has been found to have happened during the tenure of two former prime ministers and the incumbent prime minister, with hints of collusion.”

“The guilty should be punished regardless of their position or personality,” he added.

He further accused Tourism Minister Rabindra Adhikari for lying to the parliament regarding the wide body procurement process.

“Minister Adhikari has lied to the parliament,” Lohani said. “And lying to the parliament is an act of obstructing justice.”

He demanded immediate resignation of Minister Adhikari for not being responsible enough to dig out the truth behind the scam. He further requested the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) to begin investigation on the matter without any delay.
