DANG, April 4: Chief Minister (CM) Leela Giri was absent from the provincial assembly meeting in Lumbini Province.
CM Giri did not attend the meeting of the provincial assembly which started from Monday.

He did not attend the meeting of the provincial assembly after the provincial government fell into a minority.
On the other hand, the members of the provincial assembly of the ruling party have raised the voice that the Chief Minister Giri's government should pave the way as it is in the minority in the meeting.
On Monday, the provincial assembly members of Nagarik Unmukti Party, JSP, LSP, along with the Nepali Congress (NC), pressed the government, which is in the minority, to “pave the way” for the formation of another government on the basis of constitutional order and ethics.
He said that the road should be cleared as soon as possible in the provincial assembly meeting that continued on Tuesday.
Raju Khanal, a provincial assembly member of the Nepali Congress, asked CM Giri to step down in a dignified manner as his government was no longer in majority in the provincial assembly.
