Lumbini’s State Minister for Health Wali brought to DPO for investigation

DANG, June 14: Lumbini Province’s State Minister for Health, Bimala Wali has been brought to the District Police Office (DPO) for further investigation.

DANG, June 14: Lumbini Province’s State Minister for Health, Bimala Wali has been brought to the District Police Office (DPO) for further investigation.


Bimala, who was under the control of the Area Police Office, was brought to the DPO in Ghorahi for further investigation. A police team including District Police Chief, SP Suresh Prasad Kafle reached the spot and brought State Minister for Health Wali to the DPO.

According to SP Kafle, Wali has been brought to the DPO for investigation as there is no DSP in the DSP-led Area Police Office at present. Police said that they are conducting an investigation into the matter and action will be taken after the investigation.


Minister Wali had assaulted Mina Bhandari, wife of Ekraj Basnet of Tulsipur. She had reached Bhandari’s residence early today and asked her about her husband's whereabouts. She then slapped Bhandari and her daughter, as per the preliminary investigation conducted by the police.
