Madhav Kumar Nepal elected HoR member from Rautahat-1

Rautahat, Nov 24: Chairman of CPN(Unified Socialist) and former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal has been elected as a member of the House of Representatives(HoR). Leader Nepal won by defeating CPN-UML candidate Ajay Kumar Gupta with a wide margin.

Rautahat, Nov 24: Chairman of CPN(Unified Socialist) and former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal has been elected as a member of the House of Representatives(HoR). Leader Nepal won by defeating CPN-UML candidate Ajay Kumar Gupta with a wide margin.

The final result of the counting of votes, which continued since Monday, concluded today.


Nepal got 33,522 votes while his nearest rival Gupta of UML got 26,922 votes. Nepal won by more than 6,600 votes as compared to the votes received by UML candidate Gupta.
