DHANUSHA, Feb 19: Madhesh Province's Chief Minister Saroj Kumar Yadav has obtained a vote of confidence on Sunday. It is the third time he got a vote of confidence since he assumed the post of the Chief Minister. Of the 104 Province Assembly members present in the House, 69 voted for Yadav while 35 voted against him.

Yadav got a vote of confidence from the Province Assembly members of parties other than CPN-UML and Janamat Party. CM Yadav had to obtain a vote of confidence yet again after two ministers from Janamat Party quit the government and withdrew party's support to the Madhesh Province government. The Province Assembly here has 24 members from CPN-UML, 22 from the Nepali Congress, 19 from Janata Samajbadi Party, 13 from Janamat Party, 9 from CPN (Maoist Centre), nine from Loktantrik Samajwadi Party, seven from CPN (Unified Socialist) and one each from Nagarik Unmukti Party and Rastriya Prajatantra Party and an independent candidate.
