Mahottari's Trishuli Devi temple opened for public

MAHOTTARI, Oct 15: The Trishuli Devi Temple, a famous shrine in Jaleshwar, has been opened for the public. The temple was opened on the occasion of the Bada Dashain festival that formally commenced from today.

MAHOTTARI, Oct 15: The Trishuli Devi Temple, a famous shrine in Jaleshwar, has been opened for the public. The temple was opened on the occasion of the Bada Dashain festival that formally commenced from today.


According to the temple’s priest Upendra Pathak, the general public is allowed to directly pay homage to the deity Trishuli Devi twice a year - during the Bada Dashain and the Chaite Dashain festivals.

With the opening of the temple, devotees have thronged here since 4:00 AM today to pay homage to the deity. The temple is located on the premises of Jaleshwar Nath Mahadev Temple.


The goddess Trishuli Devi is highly revered in Mahottari, attracting devotees not only from the district but also from outside the district and neighboring areas in India, it is said.
