MAKAWANPUR, Aug 16: The District Administration Office, Makawanpur, has decided to extend ongoing prohibitory order for ten days starting today midnight to stop the spread of coronavirus in the district.
A meeting of the district security committee headed by Chief District Officer (CDO) Deepak Raj Nepal took a decision to this effect earlier today. "The prohibitory order has been extended for next ten days starting the midnight of August 16," CDO Nepal said.
The prohibitory order, which was issued earlier, is expiring today midnight.

The local administration's decision comes after Manahari area along the East-West Highway and various wards of Makawanpur Sub-metropolitan City recorded dozens of coroanvirus cases.
People are allowed to purchase daily essentials and medicines from 5AM to 9AM every day.
According to CDO Nepal, people are barring from organizing seminars, conferences and religious gatherings. "Public and private vehicles are barred from plying the road," he said.
People are also not allowed to participate in family functions including marriage during the lockdown period.
