KATHMANDU, June 20: Nepal national cricket team’s vice-captain Gyanendra Malla has been appointed as brand ambassador of Koshi Multiple College in Biratnagar on Wednesday.
Director of the college Manish Swarnakar announced that a five-year partnership was made with Malla. The Biratnagar-based college offers higher secondary and bachelor’s degree programs.

“We aim for development of sports along with the studies for our students. I am sure our tie-up with vice-captain (Malla) will help this college attain new heights in the years to come. We are humbled to honor his contributions for Nepali cricket.”
Swarnakar also said the college was planning to host a national level college cricket tournament in near future with an objective to help promote Nepali cricket.
“We expect to bring more sports related programs in future. An inter-college national level cricket tournament is in the pipeline. We feel honored to be able to help Nepali cricket in any form.”
Likewise, the college is set to establish a cricket academy in the city in partnership with Malla.
Malla has been a key figure in the rise of Nepali cricket through the ranks in the last decade to earning an ODI status in 2018.
