Man injured in leopard attack

KANCHANPUR, Feb 17: A young man was injured in a leopard attack in the southern area of Kanchanpur.

KANCHANPUR, Feb 17: A young man was injured in a leopard attack in the southern area of Kanchanpur.


Jeevan Chand, 24, of Beldandi Rural Municipality-3 Khairighat was injured in the attack of a leopard. He was traveling on a motorcycle when the incident occurred.

According to Dinesh Kumar Yadav, head of Kunda sub-division forest office, Chand was attacked by a leopard on Friday evening on postal road near Khapati River in Belauri Municipality-8.


Chand received injuries on hand as a result of the attack. Yadav said that his motorcycle was also damaged. Last year, two people were killed in a tiger attack in Punarbas and Belauri municipality.
