Leopard attack injures young man in Kanchanpur

KANCHANPUR, April 26: A young man was injured in a leopard attack in Shuklaphanta Municipality, Kanchanpur on Friday.


According to Sub Inspector Anand Chand of the Area Police Office in Jhalari, 26-year-old Rabindra Dhami was attacked by a leopard while he was picking apples in the Bhagwati Community Forest in Shuklaphanta-8.

Dhami suffered injuries to his hands and head and is currently receiving treatment in Dhangadhi, Kailali.


Keshav Dhami, chairman of Bhagawati Community Forest, said that Rabindra Dhami was attacked while collecting apples inside the community forest. Local residents have reported an increase in leopard attacks in the area, raising concerns about public safety.
