KANCHANPUR, July 6: CPN(Maoist Center) has clinched mayoral post in Belauri Municipality of Kanchanpur district.
Maoist Center mayoral candidate Potilal Chaudhari has won the race for the mayor of Belauri Municipality with 6764 votes, compared to 6407 votes for his nearest rival UML mayoral candidate Palav Raj Bhatta.

However, UML deputy mayoral candidate Chitra Chaudhari has been elected as the deputy mayor.
Chhaudhari garnered 6748 votes, compared to 6161 votes for her nearest rival Maoist Center deputy mayoral Radha Kandel.
