"We are not selecting office-bearers or forming a standing committee and politburo before the election due to lack of time," he told media persons after leaving the Central Committee meeting held at Anupam Foodland in Battisputali, Kathmandu on Monday.

However, he said that a small central office would be set up to assist the chairman in making decisions. He said that the election would not be affected if there were no office bearers in the party structure.

Meanwhile, Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal at a meeting on Monday informed all participants that party’s Chief Whip Dev Gurung, Leela Mani Pokhrel and Krishna Bahadur Mahara have filed a note of dissent against the US-backed MCC project. He said that it would be discussed and a consensus would be reached on MCC.
