MCC was introduced to create political instability in country: Minister Jhakri

KATHMANDU, Feb 18: Minister for Urban Development, Ram Kumari Jhakri has said that the present ruling alliance is a product of political compulsion. Talking to media persons after the parliament meeting held on Friday, Minister Jhakri asserted that the ruling coalition was formed to protect the political system in the country, willingly or unwillingly.

Minister Jhakri also said that the US-funded Millenium Challenge Corporation compact agreement was introduced to create political instability in the country. She said that she would accept the view of the Prime Minister over the matter as long as she is a member of the Cabinet. She also urged the government to stay away from issues like MCC that create problems in the country.
