MCC will help alleviate poverty: Minister Khand

KATHMANDU, March 20: Minister for Home Affairs, Bal Krishna Khand has said that the US-funded Millenium Challenge Corporation (MCC) compact agreement was introduced because it is in favor of the country.

KATHMANDU, March 20: Minister for Home Affairs, Bal Krishna Khand has said that the US-funded Millenium Challenge Corporation (MCC) compact agreement was introduced because it is in favor of the country. 


Speaking at a program organized at Rampur Municipality in Palpa on Saturday, Minister Khand said, “MCC is beneficial for Nepal. This will help to increase employment, alleviate poverty and increase international trade.”

On the occasion, Minister Khand stressed the need for clearing wrong news and misconceptions about MCC among the public. He also that the government is making necessary preparations for the upcoming local level election.
