Only two issues including the fate of the medical colleges that are above the ceiling of five colleges that the Tribhuvan University and Kathmandu University have granted affiliation and about addressing the health classes run under the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training still remain contentious in the Sub-committee formed under the parliamentary Education and Health Committee.

The sub-committee is working to forge a consensus on the bill after integrating the amendments proposed by 22 MPs. Following a consensus in the committee, the government plans to table the bill at the winter session of the federal parliament to begin from December 26.

In the meeting of the sub-committee on Monday, the contentious issues and other aspects of the bill was discussed in the presence of Minister for Education.
