Parties fail to forge consensus on medical education bill

KATHMANDU, Oct 13: Top leaders of the major political parties remained divided over the contents of the Bill on National Medical Education that is under consideration in the Parliament.

KATHMANDU, Oct 13: Top leaders of the major political parties remained divided over the contents of the Bill on National Medical Education that is under consideration in the Parliament. 


At a meeting arranged by Speaker Onsari Ghartimagar prior to today's House meeting, the bill was not included in the business of the House meeting after the parties' failure to reach a conclusion.

The bill is sure to be deserted as the tenure of the House is expiring in two days and the formal meeting of the Legislature-Parliament is most likely to end by today itself.
