KATHMANDU, July 2: Minister for Home Affairs Shakti Basnet has committed to take action against the culprits of the Pushpanjali Boarding School incident as two students there were killed and 23 others injured when a wall of a land plotting slid and crashed on the premises of the School at Taukhel in Lalitpur on Friday.

While receiving the memorandum submitted by the Revolutionary Students' Unions led by Ramesh Malla, Santosh Bista and Ratna Dhakal, Minister Basnet shared that he was committed to hold serious investigation in this regard as a probe committee was already formed for the same.

The memo was submitted urging to monitor whether the standards issued by the government for the private schools were implemented or not. If the standard was violated then they should bear the legal liability, union leaders argued. RSS
