KATHMANDU, June 14: Minister for Labour, Employment and Social Security, Sharat Singh Bhandari participated at the Labour Ministerial Meeting of Asia Pacific Group on the sidelines of the ongoing International Labour Conference (ILC) on Tuesday.
Addressing the meeting, Minister Bhandari highlighted the efforts made by the Government of Nepal for the protection of vulnerable populations during the COVID-19 pandemic. He also emphasized on the need of collective actions to confront shared challenges in the field of labor migration during the global crisis.

Minister Bhandari also held a bilateral meeting with the Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation of the United Arab Emirates, Dr Abdulrahman Abdulmannan Al Awar. The meeting was focused on the issues pertaining to Nepali migrant workers.
On Tuesday evening, Minister Bhandari attended the reception by the Government of Switzerland to the delegates of the International Labour Conference.
