Minister Jhakri leaves for US to address high level meeting of UN Habitat

KATHMANDU, April 23: Urban Development Minister Jhakri left for the United States on Friday evening to address a high-level meeting at the UN Habitat headquarters in New York.

KATHMANDU, April 23: Urban Development Minister Jhakri left for the United States on Friday evening to address a high-level meeting at the UN Habitat headquarters in New York.


Joint Secretary Bishnu Prasad Sharma, who is also spokesperson at the ministry, said Minister Jhankri will address the meeting on April 28. The meeting will discuss the status of implementation of the New Urban Agenda 2015 under the auspices of UNHCR.

Minister Jhakri will be accompanied by Director General of Urban Development and Building Construction Padma Kumar Mainali and Deputy Director General Dilip Bhandari. Minister Jhakri will return home on April 31, spokesperson Sharma said.
