Minor drowns in Udayapur’s Tawakhola

UDAYAPUR, April 25: A four-year old boy drowned in the local Tawa river here in Udayapur on Saturday.

UDAYAPUR, April 25: A four-year old boy drowned in the local Tawa river here in Udayapur on Saturday. 


The deceased has been identified as Ritesh Kumar, son of Purna Bahadur Magar of Ratanpur, Katari Municipality-7.

According to the police, the boy was seriously injured after drowning in the river which was about a kilometer west from his residence. His friends pulled him out of the river and rushed him to Katari Hospital for treatment where he was pronounced dead by the doctors.


A team led by Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) at the Area Police Office, Katari reached the scene for preliminary investigation into the incident. The mortal remains of the boy were handed over to his relatives after carrying out a postmortem at Katari Hospital, police said.
