KATHMANDU, Sep 3: Pravesh Tamang, a 16-year-old resident of Kathmandu Lazimpat, who had gone missing from Dimsa in Rasuwa on the day of Janaipurnima, has been found safe and sound on Saturday afternoon.

The incident occurred when Pravesh and his mother were returning from Gosaikunda. While descending into the Dhimsa area, Pravesh ventured away from his mother to purchase Churpi, causing them to lose sight of each other and veer off the main road, inadvertently entering a forest path.

Fortunately, Pravesh was discovered and subsequently rescued from the Khopang Bhir area of Dhunchepari on Saturday, after a thorough two-day search effort led by Nepal Police, Nepal Army, and Armed Police Force personnel. Approximately 80-90 security personnel were deployed daily in various areas, including Bolisayafru, Brawal, Bharkhu, and Dimsa, as part of the extensive search operation.

Pravesh was found in a hole and had sustained injuries to his head and body. Dr. Amit Kumar Shah, Medical Superintendent of Rasuwa Hospital, reported that he is currently receiving treatment at the hospital and is in stable condition. His rescue was made possible when he encountered Sushil Thokra, a resident of Dhunche, who was traveling on the road and helped him reach Dhunche on his motorcycle after two days of efforts to find the missing teenager.
