Missing girl found dead in Mahakali River, one still missing

KATHMANDU, June 23: Police have recovered the dead body of one of the two girls who went missing in the Mahakali River at Gadamukh Kushmauta, Shivanath Rural Municipality-1, Baitadi.

KATHMANDU, June 23: Police have recovered the dead body of one of the two girls who went missing in the Mahakali River at Gadamukh Kushmauta, Shivanath Rural Municipality-1, Baitadi.


Rajani Chad, 13, and Ashmita Chad, 12, residents of Swala, Shivanath Rural Municipality, went missing while bathing in the river.

A team of the security forces deployed from the APF Nepal Border Outpost (BOP), Kushmauta found the dead body of Rajani.


Sailendra Thapa, the APF’s co-spokesperson said that a search operation for the missing girl is underway.
