MoHA orders arrest of anyone obstructing polio vaccination

KATHMANDU, March 5: Ministry of Home Affairs on Sunday directed all the chief district officers (CDOs) to arrest and take action against any individual or civil servants found involved in obstructing essential services.

KATHMANDU, March 5: Ministry of Home Affairs on Sunday directed all the chief district officers (CDOs) to arrest and take action against any individual or civil servants found involved in obstructing essential services.

The ministry wrote to the CDOs after health workers in various districts obstructed Polio vaccine administration program. The health workers, affiliated with different six trade unions and the senior health assistants, who were promoted despite of their non-eligibility, are obstructing the program which was scheduled for Saturday and Sunday.


The ministry has also asked the CDOs to make necessary security arrangements and open the health posts and offices, which were padlocked by the protesting health workers.
