Monsoon in full swing across country, some eastern part likely to see heavy rainfall

KATHMANDU, June 29: With the monsoon active throughout the country, rainfall occurred in most places of the country. The Meteorological Forecasting Division has said some parts in the eastern region will see heavy rainfall, while the central and hilly areas witness light and medium rainfall.

KATHMANDU, June 29: With the monsoon active throughout the country, rainfall occurred in most places of the country. The Meteorological Forecasting Division has said some parts in the eastern region will see heavy rainfall, while the central and hilly areas witness light and medium rainfall.


With the prediction of heavy rainfall in some parts of the eastern region, the people in the respective area are warned of floods and urged to remain alert, according to the meteorologist. The Kathmandu Valley and some eastern parts saw light to moderate rain this morning.

General weather change is likely throughout the country on Sunday. Similarly, most parts in central and eastern regions and some in western region will see generally cloudy conditions bringing rainfall on Monday.


Today, Kathmandu recorded the highest temperature of 30 degrees Celsius and minimum of 20.5 degrees Celsius while Dipayal had 39.5 degrees Celsius as the highest temperature.
