MoU signed on 84-km cable car to Muktinath

KATHMANDU, Sept 13: Investment Board Nepal (IBN) and Muktinath Darshan Pvt Ltd (MDPL) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Wednesday to prepare a Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the construction of an 84-km cable car service from Birethanti of Myagdi district to Muktinath Temple in Mustang district.

KATHMANDU, Sept 13: Investment Board Nepal (IBN) and Muktinath Darshan Pvt Ltd (MDPL) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Wednesday to prepare a Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the construction of an 84-km cable car service from Birethanti of Myagdi district to Muktinath Temple in Mustang district.

Chief Executive Officer Maha Prasad Adhikari of IBN and Chairman Arun Kumar Subedi of MDPL signed the MoU.


“The Muktinath Cable Car System to be developed by the company will have an 83.65 km cable car line with six sub-stations,” read a statement issued by the IBN on Wednesday. The sub-stations are Birethanti, Ghorepani, Tatopani, Lete Marpha transit, Jomsom, Kagbeni and Muktinath. The company has to prepare the DPR in 18 months from the date of the signing of the MoU, it said.
