Speaking at the House of Representatives meeting on Wednesday, MP Suwal accused Minister Khapung of failing to play a leadership role in controlling the disease. MP Suwal expressed his displeasure that the Ministry of Health and Population could not even carry out cleaning work to control the disease.

He said, "After Corona, the people are suffering a lot from dengue. There is a shortage of beds in hospitals. Minister for Health, what is the situation in the country? It is spreading like an epidemic. It seems like there is no Ministry of Health. Significant budget has been allocated for the Ministry of Health, but the effectiveness of the Ministry of Health was not seen, nor was the leadership of the minister seen. I would like to request the Speaker to arrange for the minister to speak about this in the House immediately. People are dying because of dengue. This is a common disease. If cleanliness is done, people should not die from this disease, but it was seen that the Ministry of Health has not done the cleaning.”
