KATHMANDU, May 19: Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) is going to start regular flights at Gautam Buddha International Airport (GBIA) in Bhairahawa from June 12. According to the flight schedule published by the NAC, ticket booking has been opened for flights on the Kathmandu-Kuala Lumpur-Bhairahawa-Kathmandu sector.
The NAC said that it is currently planning to start with one flight per week from Bhairahawa and increase the number of flights by taking permission to fly to other destinations as per the market demand.
Jazeera to operate regular flights from June 12 at GBIA
According to the NAC, there is a special instruction from the Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Sudan Kiranti, and a special initiative of the Executive Chairman of the Corporation, Yuvaraj Adhikari, to take off flights from GBIA, which was built under the project of National Pride, with due diligence.
The NAC is also going to arrange a shuttle bus in the near future to travel from Johor Bahru in Malaysia to Kuala Lumpur International Airport. After this, the passengers can travel from Kathmandu to Johor Bahru and from Johor Bahru to Kathmandu or Bhairahawa by taking a ticket from the NAC’s aircraft, according to the NAC. The NAC expects that the new arrangement will bring more convenience to the passengers.
