National Assembly Chairman Timilsina hands over Pakistan Embassy scholarships

KATHMANDU, May 26: Chairman of National Assembly Ganesh Prasad Timilsina, gave away “Ambassador of Pakistan Scholarships” to 198 Nepali students in the 11th Annual Scholarship Award Ceremony organized by Embassy of Pakistan in Kathmandu on Wednesday.

KATHMANDU, May 26: Chairman of National Assembly Ganesh Prasad Timilsina, gave away “Ambassador of Pakistan Scholarships” to 198 Nepali students in the 11th Annual Scholarship Award Ceremony organized by Embassy of Pakistan in Kathmandu on Wednesday.


The scholarships are awarded to deserving/ bright students of government schools selected by the respective Principals from across Nepal. This year 198 students from 43 schools were awarded the scholarship along with one laptop to the Best Student.

Speaking at the occasion, Timilsina lauded Pakistan for its continued support and advancing people-to-people contacts between the two countries especially in the field of education. This, he said, was a reflection of the close friendly ties between Pakistan and Nepal. He expressed appreciation for the Embassy’s efforts which, he said, had gone a long way in bringing the youth of the two countries closer.


Pakistan’s Ambassador to Nepal Abrar H Hashmi expressed his resolve and desire to further expand the scholarship program and strengthen Pakistan-Nepal bilateral relations. He said Nepali youth’s encouragement in studies, sports and healthy social activities is our mainstay of the cooperation.
