HoR Speaker, National Assembly Chairman send letter of reminder over delay in appointing Secretary General of parliament

KATHMANDU, Jan 21: Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR) Devraj Ghimire and National Assembly Chairman Ganesh Timilsina have sent a letter of reminder to the President about the recommendation for the appointment of the Secretary General of the Federal Parliament.

KATHMANDU, Jan 21: Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR) Devraj Ghimire and National Assembly Chairman Ganesh Timilsina have sent a letter of reminder to the President about the recommendation for the appointment of the Secretary General of the Federal Parliament.


Speaker Ghimire and Chairman Timilsina recommended Padmaraj Pandey as the General Secretary of the Federal Parliament on December 11. But President Ram Chandra Paudel has not yet made a decision on this matter.

After there was prolonged delay in the appointment process, Ghimire and Timilsina sent a reminder on January 18. President's Legal Adviser Baburam Kunwar confirmed that the Speaker's letter had been received.
