KATHMANDU, Jan 7: Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba has prepared to make former general secretary of the party, Krishna Prasad Sitaula, as the Chairman of the National Assembly.
Deuba is preparing to bring Sitaula from Jhapa to the National Assembly and make him the Chairman. Sitaula is going home on Sunday evening. And, close sources claim that he plans to return to Kathmandu only after the election on January 25.

Similarly, President Deuba is sure to nominate former Vice President Gopalman Shrestha and Joint General Secretary Formullah Mansur as candidates for the National Assembly election. Similarly, Govind Pokharel, Anand Prasad Dhungana, Minendra Rijal, Sujata Koirala from NC are aspiring leaders for National Assembly membership.
Also, leaders Shekhar Koirala, Purna Bahadur Khadka, Gagan Kumar Thapa and Ramesh Lekhak are engaged in discussions at the residence of President Sher Bahadur Deuba to balance the factions within the party.
