NATTA to participate in tourism fair in Dhaka

KATHMANDU, April 22: Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA), in collaboration with Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), is participating in the Bangladesh Travel and Tourism Fair (BTTF) to be held in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

KATHMANDU, April 22: Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA), in collaboration with Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), is participating in the Bangladesh Travel and Tourism Fair (BTTF) to be held in Dhaka, Bangladesh.


A 21-member team of travel entrepreneurs, led by NATTA President Madhu Sudhan Acharya, has headed to the Bangladeshi capital to participate in the fair which will start on April 22, NATTA said.

According to NATTA, it is also organizing Nepal Night with support from NTB on April 22 at the fair.


“In the fair, different events will be organized to broadcast a positive message about Nepal to the Bangladeshi people,” NATTA said in a statement.


According to Hari Bhakta Shrestha, conveyor of NATTA, Bangladesh’s Minister for Tourism, government officials related to travel and tourism, and tourism entrepreneurs there have already been invited to attend the fair.


As per the National Tourism Policy-2016, NATTA is participating in fairs related to tourism in Spain, Malaysia, Bangladesh, and China. NATTA is also organizing Nepal Sales Missions in five different cities in China as per the policy. The policy aims to attract 1.5 million tourists to the country by the end of 2020.


Altogether 22,490 Bangladeshi tourists visited Nepal in 2013 while the number fell marginally to 22,185 in 2014. Likewise, 14,831 Bangladeshi tourists came to Nepal in 2015 and the numbers improved as 20,715 Bangladeshi tourists visited Nepal in 2016.
