Nayab Subbas protests inside Singha Durbar along with placards

KATHMANDU, August 14: The Nayab Subbas (non-gazetted first class government employees) are protesting across the country, demanding capacity and career development programs.

KATHMANDU, August 14: The Nayab Subbas (non-gazetted first class government employees) are protesting across the country, demanding capacity and career development programs.


They are protesting in offices all over the country including Singha Durbar on Sunday by holding placards with various slogans. The slogans include ‘Honorable sir, where is the capacity and career development program for non-gazetted employees?’ and “While we are the ones who work, why should we always cry?’

They have been protesting against the removal of quota for internal competition for promotion from Subba to Section Officer, they have been demanding to keep internal competition quota for promotion in the draft of the Federal Civil Service Act. They have demanded that 50 percent of open and 30 percent of promotions and 20 percent of internal/inter level competition should be maintained while filling positions at the section officer level. 


Similarly, they said that if the demand is not heard by Monday, they will announce more protest programs in the coming days.
