NC candidate elected as chief of Buddha Shanti Rural Municipality

JHAPA, July 7: Nepali Congress(NC) candidate Ramesh Bhujel has won the race for the chief of Buddha Shanti Rural Municipality trouncing his nearest rival CPN-UML candidate Chintan Pathak.

JHAPA, July 7: Nepali Congress(NC) candidate Ramesh Bhujel has won the race for the chief of Buddha Shanti Rural Municipality trouncing his nearest rival CPN-UML candidate Chintan Pathak.


Bhujel won the election with 7196 votes against 7353 votes for his nearest rival NC candidate Pathak.

However, CPN-UML has succeeded in clinching the post of deputy chief of Buddha Shanti Rural Municipality. UML candidate Mira Bhurtel has been elected as the deputy chief.  


She defeated her nearest rival NC candidate Chandra Kala Bhattarai with 7457 votes.  Her closest rival Bhattarai garnered 6804 votes.
