KATHMANDU, April 12: A Central Working Committee (CWC) meeting of Nepali Congress scheduled for today has been put off. The party had called the CWC meeting for 2 pm to discuss the formation of a new government under its leadership and the party’s 14th general convention.

The NC said that the meeting had to be called off as Govinda Raj Poudel, brother of the party’s senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel, passed away at Ratnanagar in Chitwan this morning.
Party leaders said the party's upcoming 14th general convention and contemporary political issues were among the agenda of the meeting today. The date for the next meeting has not been decided yet.
